    Employment opportunity for Legal Administrative Assistant

    Job role:

    • Draft daily correspondence, declarations

    • Prepare and complete files by downloading and accurately filing forms, preparing additional information and supporting documents as per the specific programs under the supervision of consultant

    • Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing

    • Setting up office procedures to ensure the work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner

    • Prepare efficient filing solutions meeting the ICCRC standards

    • Compile applications for submission to government agencies

    • Work directly with clients to gather and prepare information and supporting documents for applications

    • File preparation, organization and management

    • Handle billing and client reminders

    • Other general administrative and secretarial support services as required

    • Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage

    • Determine and establish office procedures and routines

    • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information

    • Schedule appointments and meetings



    Regular Wage rate of $25.00 per hour for 40 hours of work per week

    If any overtime-overtime wage rate of $ 37.50 per hour after 40 hours of work per week

    4 per cent vacation pay

    Bi-weekly pay

    Paid Statutory Holiday

    Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent


    Minimum education: Completion of Secondary School

    Completion of a one- or two-year college or other program for secretaries or legal secretaries OR 1-2 years of related experience is required

    Strong Computer skills -- including significant experience with Microsoft Office

    The person must be outgoing, good listener, quick learner, self-starter, having good customer relation skills

    Must be able to work efficiently without supervision and meet deadlines.

    Must be able to work with precision under pressure

    Effective communication skills required
