    Nanda Jewellers, located in Vancouver, BC requires 1 Jewellery Store Manager to start ASAP, who will be responsible in handling the daily management of the operations of the jewellery store and must be familiar with the latest Indian traditional jewellery styles like Kundan, Polki, Jadau, Meenakari etc. He/she must know what type of jewelry to promote to customers, keeping with the latest trends in the jewelry industry.

    Job Details:

    Term: Full-time, Permanent

    Wages: $28.85 to $32.00 (based upon experience)

    Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

    Ability to supervise: 5-10 people

    Work locations: 6696 Main Street, Vancouver BC V5X 3H2

    Main duties

        • Manage, direct and evaluate the operations of the jewellery store.
        • Ensure to comfort the customers by taking genuine interest in their requirements and budget and try to work out the best jewel options for them.
        • Assign duties to the staff and manage their daily performance
        • Research and follow the latest Indian jewellery trends to understand consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors operations on sales
        • Must know the latest trends in Indian jewellery and be able to do minor repairs if required.
        • Develop and implement marketing strategies of Indian market to increase the sale and making our jewellery exclusive in the market
        • Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues
        • Evaluate and improve customer service by understanding the requirement of each customer and respond to customer requests and issues
        • Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff

    Employment requirements

        • Completion of secondary school is required.
        • Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in related field and/or a college diploma/university degree in business admin is required.
