    Piccioni Bros. Mushroom Farm Ltd. is looking for Three (3) Farm Supervisors to perform the following duties:


    • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
    • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
    • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
    • Maintain quality control and production records
    • Develop work schedules and establish procedures
    • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
    • Hire and train staff
    • Ensure all personnel assigned specific duties have proper training
    • Meet team and brief on work to be done for the day, and discuss issues with previous day’s work
    • Ensure only authorized personnel are in attendance
    • On completion of day, ensure area is swept, clean and equipment and tools are stored safely
    • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing was done the night before
    • Inspect area at the end of shift and ensure area is correctly set up for next morning
    • Complete deviation reports and be involved with corrective actions
    • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained by keeping areas free of debris and ensuring harvesters are practicing safe picking techniques
    • Verify the count of harvested mushrooms and stacking them neatly on skids and mushroom cart to be transferred to packing and weighing area
    • Inspect completed pallet for quality, customer specifications, and tagged
    • Ensure the loading dock is working properly and report problems to maintenance for repairs
    • Ensure that quality audits are being performed continuously and responds quickly when control limits are exceeded
    • Perform monthly inventory counts
    • Responsible for the continuous improvement of productivity, quality, safety, and attendance
    • Check equipment set up and ensure it is set up correctly/safely and in line with company policies and procedures
    • Ensure farm workers follow company procedures and standards of practice
    • Ensure farm workers adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations
    • May perform general farm duties.
    • Other tasks assigned


    Terms of Employment:

    -        Salary: $17 per hour; 40-60 hours/week; Early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

    -        Permanent, Full-Time 

    -        Start date: immediately 

    -        Benefits: Group Insurance Benefits


    Ability to Supervise: More than 20 people


    Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
