    • Montessori Training an asset

    • Reggio Emilia Training an asset

    CEFA Early Learning (CEFA) is a junior kindergarten school located at #243-610 Sixth Street, New Westminster, BC V3L 3C2, for children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old. Our program has been designed to inspire children to learn, get involved with projects and have an unforgettable, magical experience that will change the way they view school and learning for a lifetime.

    We have small groups, different rooms and an incredible team at CEFA New Westminster. Our teachers are very special and it is with much care that we would like to add an Infant - Toddler teacher to our team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Knowledge of licensing regulations.
    • Establish guidelines for behaviour
    • Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
    • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
    • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
    • Observe children for the sign of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
    • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well being of children.
    • Assess the ability, interests and needs of children and discuss the progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.

    Employment Terms: Full-Time/Permanent

    Position Start Date: As soon as possible

    Hours of Work: Generally, 7.50-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

    Salary & Benefits: CAD 18 - CAD 21 per hour based on experience; extended benefits after 6  months; CEFA training provided.
