    No. of hours per week: 60 hours per week

    Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

    Experience: Experience an asset

    Language: English

    Security and Safety: Valid passport, Criminal record check, Drug test, Driver’s Validity license check, Driving record check (abstract)

    Transportation/Travel information: Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Valid driver’s license, Willing to travel overnight

    Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Sitting

    Work Location information: Various locations

    Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team Player

    Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Trans-border documentation, trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports

    Specific Skills:

    • Load and unload goods
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
    • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
    • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

    Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
