Currently, we are seeking two full-time “Sheet Metal Workers” to join our team.  This is an opportunity with a great team, and opportunities for growth and development.

    Position: Sheet Metal Worker

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: $24.00 per hour (40 hours per week)

    Number of positions: 2

    Anticipation Date: As soon as possible

    Work Location: #209 - 12899 76 Ave, Surrey, BC, V3W 1E6 and various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and/or as per company’s contracts

     

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret drawings, sketches and specifications to be performed and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings.
    • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
    • Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
    • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
    • Fit and join sheet metal parts.
    • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.
    • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.

     

    Qualifications Required:

    • Education: Completion of secondary school. Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory. 
    • Experience: Completion of a three to five-year apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of work experience in the trade.
    • Language: Functional English is required.
    • Skills: Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly; Ability to communicate effectively with others using both verbal and written; Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures; Ability to pay attention to details of a project or task; Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding process and specifications.
