    Vacancies: 1 Vacancy

    Wage: $26.25 per hour

    Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)

    Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

    Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

    Additional Skills: Estimate costs of materials and time to complete graphic designs and illustrations; Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians; Adapt existing illustrations

    Work Setting: Printing shop

    Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

    Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Attention to detail; Ability to distinguish between colours; Sitting; Large workload; Tight deadlines

    Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

    Job Duties:
    - Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials.
    - Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
    - Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives.
    - Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements.
    - Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
    - Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials.
    - Illustrator Specific Skills: Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs.

    Other Information: Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
