    Wage and benefits:

    -$25.00 /hourly

    -10 days of paid holiday

    -40 hours per week

    past 8 years Kiki Gardens has had the honour of being a finalist and winner of Okanagan Life Magazine’s

    Best Restaurants Readers’ Choice awards. We are looking for one (1) experience cook to join our busy restaurant.


    Job Responsibilities:


    • Prepare and cook all food items for menu according to our restaurant’s recipes and standards
    • Provide innovative ideas, buffet plating design and new menu items on a regular basis
    • Work closely with the restaurant management team to maintain successful operation
    • Train, coach and supervise kitchen staffs and helpers on an ongoing basis, make sure everyone meets our kitchen standards
    • Seek opportunities to increase food revenue, decrease kitchen expenses and maximize the use of food materials.
    • Maintain proper record of food inventory
    • Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and is properly maintained and utilized
    • Ensure all aspects of health and safety are maintained
    • Maintains cleanliness of working area and the facilities



    Skills & Employment requirements:


    • Completion of secondary school is required
    • 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is preferred
    • Expreience with Chinese food is an asset, training will be provided
    • Available to work daytime, evenings, and weekends as required
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Highly responsible & reliable individual with some creative qualities
    • Must be able to multi-task
    • Basic English speaking and writing
