    Title of position

     

    Kitchen Cook (NOC 6322)

     

    Job duties

     

    Producing high quality plates following RMF recipes, guidelines, portion, and pizza sizes

    Working & where appropriate leading/supporting any station in the kitchen

    Following opening & closing duties

    Creating and completing prep list to a higher quality

    Complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards

    Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

    Keeping kitchen organized appropriately and ensuring everyone follows FIFO

    Leading by example in food preparation, following recipes and kitchen guidelines, and resolving issues as necessary, being thorough with performing duties, and working with FOH (front of house) staff to ensure customer satisfaction

    Giving necessary and/or helpful direction to the kitchen staff so they can complete orders & kitchen duties

    Being able to support coworkers during service

    Taking direction from chefs and managers as required to excel in service

     

    Terms of employment

     

    Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week)

     

    Expected Employment Start Date: as soon as possible

     

    Wage

     

    $15.50/hour

    4% vacation pay

    Skills requirements – both Education and Work experience

     

    Education: secondary school required

     

    Work Experience:

     

    2 years kitchen experience including shift leading  in an environment working with pizza and flatbread doughs, pizza wheel assembly, using gas-fired forno-style pizza ovens, cooking/creation of various kinds of pasta dishes, salads and desserts.

     

    Background in Italian-style food is an asset.

     

    Language requirements:

     

    Spoken and written English required
