    Position: Full-time Chef


    ·         Cook and manage the entire process of making high quality sushi including cooking sushi rice, making rolls and sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging for take-out and dine-in plate preparation

    ·         Ensure all operating standards including food safety and quality are strictly adhered to

    ·         Create connections with regular customers in a friendly, professional and caring manner

    ·         Design new rolls and Sushi and confirm plating before served to customers

    ·         Control, order and receive raw materials and inventories

    ·         Record the usage of ingredients and production daily

    ·         Distribute workload in the sushi bar according to each person's level

    ·         Confirm all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties

    ·         Be a team player, manage other teammates.

    ·         Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards,

    ·         Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs,

    ·         Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

    ·         Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers

    ·         Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff

    ·         Create new recipes, - Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food

    Experience: 3-5 years or equivalent skills level

    Education: None required

    Language: English

    Wage: $20-$24 per hour and 40 hours per week

    Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% gross salary for vacation pay
