    Description :

    As the manager, Health Care Business Solutions you’ll be responsible for supporting various teams in the Health Care Operations department to resolve complex healthcare payment issues. You’ll liaise with multiple stakeholders, such as Purchasing, IT, and third-party payment processing providers to recommend immediate and long-term solutions to operational and system challenges. To succeed in this position you’ll rely on your extensive knowledge and experience in business process re-engineering strategies and approaches.

     

    If you’d like to manage a team of approximately 25 employees who strive to deliver excellent service to injured workers and health care providers across the province, we’d like to hear from you.

     

    What you’ll do 

    As the manager, Health Care Business Solutions, you will: 

    • Proactively identify various improvement opportunities around the end-to-end processing and payment of health care benefits, and recommend and implement immediate to long-term solutions
    • Act as a business lead for systems development or enhancement projects impacting Health Care Operations and ensuring the successful completion of projects
    • Provide leadership and direction in resolving complex health care payment issues
    • Manage a team that is responsible for booking injured workers’ travel for healthcare appointments and for providing reimbursement for their healthcare expenditures
    • Act as the primary liaison with internal departments and third party providers for information, systems support, and technology requirements as they relate to health care projects
    • Develop and manage the financial budget allocated for the department including monitoring ongoing financial reporting and taking corrective actions when necessary

    • Ensure resolution of complex payment issues by thinking strategically and executing action plans to achieve objectives

     

    Your experience and educational background:

    • A university degree in business administration with a focus on information technology, business intelligence, business process engineering, or other relevant fields of study
    • A minimum of six years of technology business support experience in an industry such as health care, insurance claims, or accounting
    • Experience in business process re-engineering; systems implementation related to health care is an asset
    • A minimum of three years of management experience including hiring, orientating, evaluating, motivating, and coaching employees to maintain high levels of service
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
