    Want to use your expertise to connect to an IT career with a difference? As manager, Server and Storage Services at WorkSafeBC, you’ll do just that. Using leading-edge technology, you’ll help connect British Columbians to healthy and safe workplaces – providing support for injury prevention programs, rehabilitation services, workplace insurance, and strong health and safety cultures.


    We’re looking for an experienced server and storage specialist with leadership skills to play a key role in the transformation of our premise-based server and storage solutions and platforms to a hybrid operations model. You’ll collaborate with our Cloud Operations, Purchasing Services, and Contract and SLA Management teams to select and implement the appropriate server and storage solutions that exceed our customers’ requirements.


    What you’ll do

    As manager, Server and Storage Services you will:

    • Develop and maintain service and storage strategic plans
    • Work with the Product Family Management departments to recommend cost effective server and storage solutions
    • Work with the Cloud Operations and Design teams to develop and implement an interim Hybrid Operations IaaS support model
    • Oversee the day-today operations of premise-based and IaaS-based server and storage services
    • Establish and apply a continuous service improvement and automation approach focused on meeting business outcomes
    • Provide technical product ownership for various middleware software products and associated technologies that drive organizational value
    • Be a change agent to drive value from emerging service delivery mechanisms

    Your experience and educational background:

    • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field
    • A minimum of ten years of experience in a server and storage related technical role with team lead responsibilities
    • Specialist knowledge of storage and service architectures as well as industry standards, and the ability to use them to design, integrate and deliver infrastructure architectures to an organization’s changing needs
    • Specialist knowledge of distributed application architectures and internet standards
    • Cloud IaaS experience
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
