    We have an opportunity for a customer service-focused administrative assistant in our Review Division for a temporary assignment of approximately eight months. In this role, you’ll report to a senior manager and undertake diverse secretarial and administrative support duties. You’ll use discretion and tact to handle confidential and sensitive information relating to WorkSafeBC policies and operations.

    What you’ll do

    As an administrative assistant/secretary II in our Review Division you will:

    • Organize, compile, and type confidential reports, memos, minutes, and correspondence
    • Establish and maintain files and records and maintain comprehensive tracking systems for sensitive correspondence and files
    • Assemble departmental budget summaries and various monthly statistics
    • Organize appointments, meetings, and seminars and make travel and accommodation arrangements
    • Maintain office supplies and stationery

    • Demonstrate an attention to detail and accurately handle concurrent activities
    • Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Maintain a high level of customer service

     

    Your experience and educational background:

    • Completion of Grade 12
    • A minimum of three years of experience in a secretarial or administrative support role
    • Demonstrated ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is an asset
    • Type a minimum of 60 words per minute
