    Paramjit's Kitchen is a casual restaurant offering ethnic East Indian cuisine. We are a popular lunch and dining spot in downtown Revelstoke. Paramjit’s Kitchen is looking for three Ethnic Food Cooks to add to its current team. 

    If you have experience in commercial East Indian Cooking and are looking for a new challenge, you may be the ideal candidate. 


    Salary: $14-$16 (depending on experience), no benefits included in these job offers. 

    Job Type: Full-time (30 hours/week), permanent

    Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook


    Job Duties:

    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
    • Oversee kitchen operations
    • Maintain inventory and records of food supplies and equipment
    • May clean kitchen and work area
    • May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies
    • May hire and train kitchen staff
    • Specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic East Indian cuisine


    Employment Requirements/work experience:

    In order to be considered for one of these positions you need to have finished high-school. You also have to have several years of commercial East Indian cooking experience OR completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety. The ideal candidate is a team player and organized. The incumbent is able to stand for extended periods of time while working in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail is required.


    Terms of Employment:

    The candidates are expected to be available for work for daytime or evening shifts and are expected to work weekends. The three positions are full time (30 hours/week) and permanent.
