    Salary: $23.75 per hour for 40 hours/week

    Languages: English

    Education: Physiotherapy assistants require completion of a two-to-three-year college program in physical rehabilitation therapy or a two-year physical therapy assistant (PTA) program and supervised practical training.

    Experience: Experience an asset

    Additional Skills: Perform various administrative functions, Clean and maintain equipment, Document patient rehabilitation progress, Schedule and confirm appointments, Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history, Take earmold impressions and fit and adjust hearing instruments

    Physiotherapy Assistants and Occupational Therapy Assistants Specific Skills:

    Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Assist PT to provide treatment to a patient such as an electrotherapy, and Ultrasound. Report progress of patient back to PT and document all treatments. Help with scheduling the patients as the treatment protocol requires. Assess patients and establishing a rehabilitation program, which the PT then can review and approve the treatment. Provide rehab instruction to the patient as instructed by the PT.
