    Job Title: Child-care Provider – Private Home (NOC 2011: 4411)

    Job Type: Regular Job

    Terms of Employment: Permanent and full time, 45 hours per week.

    Salary: $14.00/hour

    Anticipated Start Date: as soon as possible

    Skills Requirements:

    Education: Not Required

    Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.: not required

    Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Child-care providers may require completion of a training program in child care or a related field. Child-care or household management experience may be required.

    Language: English

    Work Settings: Employer’s Home

    Work Location Information: Work in Employer’s Home

    Children’s ages: Newborn (including expecting mother), 2 years

    Specific Skills: Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children  

    Additional Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

    Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, aboriginals, youth, older workers and people with disabilities, with the appropriate experience.
