    Rate of pay: $35.00/hour

    Overtime: 1.5 times normal rate as per provincial regulations.

    Benefits Package: 4% vacation pay will be paid each payday on a bi-weekly basis;

    Medical: BC Medical Services Plan payable by employee

    Hours: 40 hours/week Plus Option for Overtime

    Language: English

    Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As early as possible

    Minimum Education/ Professional certification:

    • Completion of Secondary (High) school qualification.
    • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician/ Mechanic Trade Diploma is required.
    • Candidate may have or be willing to obtain Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification before commencing work.
    • The candidate should or be willing to obtain a valid class "C" or "B" or "A" ticket Gas Fitter License before commencing work.

    Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position.

    Job Duties:

    • Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment;
    • Measure and lay out reference points for installation;
    • Interpret gas codes;
    • Handle, recover and store refrigerants;
    • Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems;
    • Start-up system and test for leaks using testing devices;
    • Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing;
    • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
