    The Barclay Hotel is a heritage hotel nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It is located on the city’s popular and famous area, surrounded by charming boutiques, shops, bistros, restaurants and art galleries etc. Many of Vancouver’s popular attractions: Stanley Park, English Bay, the Vancouver Aquarium, the financial district and major shopping malls…are within walking distance. The Barclay Hotel offers the ultimate in comfort and style at affordable prices. We have just completed an over 1 million dollars hotel renovation including room updates and facility upgrades to meet the overheated demand of the local tourism.

    We are seeking a Hotel Chief Financial Officer to join our management team. The major role of this position is to design and implement financial strategy for our hotel business. As the Hotel Chief Financial Officer, he or she needs to perform the following duties:

    o Manage the accounting records and financial information of the hotel; design and maintain effective internal control to safeguard company’s files and records.

    o Evaluate the best financial accounting practice and policies and ensure their executions.

    o Oversee all accounting functions of the hotel including sales, purchase, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable and banking etc.

    o Analyze financial information and programs and prepare various management reports; assist with monthly, quarterly and year end financial statement preparation, budgeting, capital expenditure and periodical governmental tax filing or audits etc.

    o Assist the hotel director and manager in strategic planning to achieve profitable operational goals by balancing price and cost and improving staff productivity.

    o Establish work priority when delegate duties for middle management and other hotel personnel; Train financial staff and oversee team performance and make effective and updated recommendations.

    o Regularly communicate with vendors, customers, management and employees to ensure effective collaborations of all parties and

    o Other control and management work of the hotel as needed.
