    Royal Star Enterprises Inc. is multi- faced corporation serving the Kelowna area. They have landscaping maintenance services throughout the city of Kelowna area. They are looking 1 Lawn and garden equipment Technician for their workshop.

    Job Title: Lawn and Garden Equipment Technician (Kelowna BC)

    NOC CODE : 7335

    Salary hourly: $25.00 - $27.00 (40 hour per week)

    Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

    Term Of Employment : Full Time , Permanent

    Number of position: 1

    Employment condition: Days, Evenings and Weekends (if required)

    Job and Work shop location: 3010 Lakha Road , Kelowna, British Columbia, V1X 7W1 , Canada

    JOB REQUIREMENT:

    Language: English

    Education: Complete of high school, trade certificate or equivalent experience is required. 

    Credential : Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) not required

    Experience: 2-3 years

    Equipment and Machinery Experience: Garden tractors, Lawn mowers, Diesel engines , Gasoline powred equipment.

    Own tool/ Equipment: Steel - toed safety boots

    Job Summary: Repair and maintain a wide variety of landscape equipments

     

    Essential Duties and responsibilities includes the following:

    • Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide varity of landscape equipment, including lawn mover,line trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, cutoff saws, chainsaws, sod cutters, and areators
    • Technician will also be expected to assist in the repair and maintenance of large equipment such as truck, trailers and skid steers on as- needed basis
    • Technician will also be repair engines chassis and body components, hydraulic cylinders, break system.
    • Mechanic must perform scheduled maintainece services like oil change, lubrication etc.
    • Troublshoot and repair small engine machinery
    • Determine estimate to repair cost.
    • Technician must maintain a well - organized and clean working area all the time

    Qualified candidate will display a consistent attitude of teamwork and postive cooperation when facing multifacing demands

    Technician must be able to follow set schedules and maintenance routine, independent problem solver in the absence of constant or immediate supervision

    Additionally: Mechanic must be able to work physically, fast paced environment, demanding environment that include frequent bending, crouching, kneeling.

    Knowledge,Skills and Abilties:

    • Extensive knowledge of 2-cycle and 4- cycle engines
    • abilty to independently troubleshoot, find problem, and repair equipments
    • abilty to operate landscape equipment and power tools
    • abilty to weld and operate a cutting torch
    • basic computer skill
    • valid driving licence
    • drive manual and automatic transmission
