    Description :

    We have a part-time opportunity for a medical imaging film clerk to support our Visiting Specialists Clinic by distributing and filing medical imaging films. If you’re an organized, customer-focused individual and have office administrative skills that will assist you to keep our imaging files accurate and provide timely distribution, we’d like to hear from you.

     

    This is a part-time, 10:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday position — An excellent schedule for a busy parent, student, or an individual who’s looking for a condensed work day.

     

    What you’ll do

    As a medical imaging film clerk you will:

    • Request radiological exams from external sources and record and distribute the medical imaging films when received
    • Assemble and prepare imaging films for in-house medical specialist reviews at the Visiting Specialists Clinic
    • Regularly examine film distribution records and contact the corresponding medical offices for return of the imaging films and arrange for pick-up or delivery
    • Answer inquiries regarding the process for obtaining radiological films

    • Proactively and independently assess and prioritize multiple and concurrent tasks
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, to a variety of groups and individuals
    • File and organize records and documents accurately

     

    Your experience and educational background:

    • Completion of grade 12 and some clerical office experience
    • Experience working in a medical office or health care environment is an asset
    • Must type a minimum of 25 words per minute
    • Excellent office grammar and spelling is required
