    Xpertan is found in May 2007 and is expertise in food packaging, processing and logistics. A central kitchen is recently invested and is ready for operations. Xpretan is expanding to the frozen meal market!

    Consumers’ health is our number 1 priority. Our mission is to use Canadian quality RWA (Raised Without the use of Antibiotics) meats and seafood products and incorporate them into healthy Asian style frozen meal then, export our products internationally.

    We are looking for a professional passionate individual who is willing to take on challenges to join and guide our team through this revolution of the company.


    Benefits: Dental and extended health, 10 days of paid vacation / 4% of annual salary per year

    Work hours: 40 hours per week

    Title: Head Chef

    Wage: $62400 per year ($30 per hour)


    Summary of Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    Recruit and manage kitchen staff

    Create menus and develop recipes

    Estimate food requirements and costs

    Source Canadian ingredients for seasonal food items

    Oversee for equipment purchases and repairs

    Control kitchen operational cost and achieve revenue goals by overseeing ordering, inventories, equipment and labour costs

    Work closely with our food packing and processing gurus to develop an efficient and safe frozen meal production system

    Design and execute operational procedures

    Direct food preparation and minimize food waste

    Ensure kitchen is clean and well maintained


    Education & Experience requirements:

    Completion of secondary school

    Cook apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience

    Minimum 5 years of commercial cooking experience including minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience



    Completion of HACCP course

    Experience in setting up a brand-new kitchen and developing systematic kitchen operations will be an asset

    Familiar with Costa Rica food culture will be an asset (as our first international selling destination will be Costa Rica)
