    Hiring full-time Early Childhood Educator for permanent position

    Lullaboo Nursery and Childcare Center

    180 Elgin Mills Rd West, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4M2



    $18/hr (35 hrs per week)



    -Completion of early childhood education program from a recognized College or University is required

    -At least 1 year of work experience required

    -Member of the College of ECE’s, in good standing or Director Approved by the Ministry of Education

    -Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months)

    -Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

    -Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    General duties

    -Develop and implement child and infant-care programs weekly that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and infants 

    -Lead daily activities by reading stories, teaching songs, and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, science, sensory and physical activity

    -Plan and maintain environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children and infants by keeping up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks

    -Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers to share information about progress and problems of children and infants

    -Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children by regularly keeping attendance, allergy, medication, communication logs and labels of breast milk/formula of children and infants

    -Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor

    -Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits

    -Support children and infants through transition in and out, as well as to another classroom

    -May supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants as required

    -Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
