    Bighong Enterprises Corporation is opening its first Filipino style restaurant BC. With a wide selection of traditional Filipino foods and drinks, our restaurant will be a convenient location for casual acquaintances, as well as all families & friends, and even business gatherings. We are now looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to join our team!

    Title of Position: Cook (NOC: 6322)

    Position Available: 1

    Employment Type: Fulltime, permanent (30-40 hours/week)

    Wage: $15-18/hour

    Language required: English

     

    Job Duties

    • Prepare food items for customers; follow proper hygiene standards and ensure high levels of cleanliness in accordance to restaurant and Provincial Policies.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
    • Schedule and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
    • Oversee/manage kitchen operations
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
    • Attend all meetings, training sessions, and meetings required.
    • Daily cleaning and inventory of walk in, storage and refrigerators for stock rotation and cleanliness
    • Ensure all equipment in work area is properly cleaned.
    • Comply and conform with the restaurant’s food safety standards
    • Report any equipment in need of repair to Department head.
    • May assist with the development of new dishes/menus, and provide thoughtful insight to the current menu

     

    Job Requirements

    • Completion of Secondary School is required
    • At least 2 years of cooking experiences is required
    • Able to read and follow standardized recipes
    • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
