    Are you a resourceful, self-motivated administrative assistant with the power to initiate plans, act on your decisions, and independently follow through to completion? We have an opportunity in a role that performs diverse secretarial and administrative support duties, reporting to a manager in our Worker and Employer Services division – A division that plays a significant role in all aspects of our mission: health and safety, compensation, rehabilitation, and financial stewardship.


    This position is a temporary assignment of approximately 10 months — An opportunity to try a new role, get your foot in the door, move on after your assignment, or explore avenues to stay.     What you’ll do

    As a secretary you will:

    • Transcribe, organize and compile, confidential reports, memos, minutes, and correspondence
    • Establish and maintain files and records and maintain comprehensive tracking systems for sensitive correspondence and files
    • Compile departmental budget summaries and various monthly statistics
    • Arrange appointments, meetings and seminars as required, and make travel and accommodation arrangements
    • Maintain office supplies and stationery
    • Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals

    • Display a high degree of professionalism when handling confidential files and information
    • Demonstrate attention to detail and accurately handle concurrent activities
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Maintain a high level of customer service
    • Type a minimum of 60 words per minute


    Your experience and educational background:

    • Completion of Grade 12
    • Recent related experience providing administrative support
    • Demonstrated ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
