    WorkSafeBC Experience team as a market research manager. You will lead a team to conduct market research, develop insights and apply principles of behavioral economics to help us understand the needs and perceptions of those we serve so that we can create products and services that meet the needs of the workers and employers in our province.


    What you’ll do

    As manager, insights and market research you will:

    • Support our service measurement framework and lead engagements with internal and external stakeholders, to better understand their perceptions, beliefs, and experiences around workplace safety and the products and services we create
    • Create actionable insights that have a positive impact on those we serve and assist in delivering WorkSafeBC’s mandate
    • Initiate various primary research methodologies including surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability tests, and A/B testing
    • Test theories and assumptions in the design and delivery of products and services to support positive health and safety outcomes
    • Test product and service offerings before launch and after implementation
    • Provide consultation, direction, and a measurement framework for corporate channels including web, social media, video, print, and in-person strategies to ensure our customer experience is consistent and employs marketing and market research best practices
    • Lead a team to design and implement campaign evaluation and behavioural insights measurements for marketing initiatives, including corporate identity and channel strategies
    • Manage your team — hire, orient, coach, motivate, and set goals to assist employees in meeting corporate and team objectives

    We’re looking for someone who can:

    • Communicate effectively and provide proactive solutions to internal clients related to market research, insights, and behavioural economics strategies
    • Support clients by managing expectations, addressing barriers, and solving problems by accessing internal or external resources
    • Develop, coach, and manage employees in a unionized environment
    • Use effective verbal and written communication skills and influence others to achieve objectives
    • Think and act strategically and identify creative and innovative approaches, ideas, and solutions


    Your experience and educational background:

    • A degree in business, marketing, behavioural economics, or market research
    • A minimum of four years of management experience in the field of customer insights, market research, or marketing communications
    • Experience with qualitative and quantitate research methodologies
    • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
