    Job Title: Child-care Provider - Private Home - NOC 6474 (NOC 2011: 4411)

    Job Type: Regular Job

    Terms of Employment: full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week. Overtime paid at 1.5x regular rate, as per Employment Standards

    Wage: $12.00/hour

    Anticipated Start Date: as soon as possible


    Languages: English


    Education: No degree, certificate or diploma


    Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year


    Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home


    Personal Suitability: Judgement, Organized, Initiative, Reliability


    Specific Skills: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Supervise and care for children, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Help children with homework


    Additional Skills: Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties


    Children's Ages: School age (6 - 12 years), 3 years


    Target Audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children


    Work Setting: Employer's home


    Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, aboriginals, youth, and people with disabilities, with the appropriate experience
