    Description :

    We’re looking for individuals who excel at providing outstanding customer service to join our team of registration officers at our head office in Richmond. Our insurance registration officers are responsible for supporting firms registering for workers’ compensation insurance. Are you a detail-oriented person who is able to make decisions based on a thorough analysis of facts and policies? Do you enjoy working with clients in a team environment? If so, we want to hear from you.


    What you’ll do

    You’ll be part of a team that works to ensure firms across the province have the workers’ compensation coverage they need. You’ll:

    • Adjudicate insurance registration applications
    • Respond to questions from firms applying for insurance
    • Review registration applications and register firms for coverage, ensuring all law and policy requirements are met
    • Support our claims management team by providing information about a firm’s registration status
    • Provide information to workers who have incorrectly had the cost of workers’ compensation coverage deducted from their earnings
    • Assign account numbers to cash and cheque payments
    • Provide training and instruction to the insurance assessments team and new registration officers

    We’re looking for people who can:

    • Professionally and efficiently solicit and analyze information as it relates to a particular industry or a specific situation, to determine whether or not a particular firm is required, allowed, or voluntarily permitted to register with us for insurance coverage
    • Make timely, independent decisions by applying law and policy to process applications for registration, categorize firms to assign insurance rates, set effective dates of coverage, and, if applicable, reject registration requests verbally or in writing
    • Provide outstanding customer service
    • Accurately record, explain, and defend detailed information orally and in writing


    Your experience and educational background:

    • A minimum of grade 12, however, a post-secondary diploma or degree is preferred
    • A minimum of 12 months of customer service experience where you independently made decisions by analyzing facts and evidence and applying acts, policies, and procedures
    • A minimum typing speed of 40 words-per-minute
