    Job Summary: We are looking for a Custom Wood Furniture Maker and Repair (NOC 7272) to be part of our in-house furniture building team.  S/he will be primarily responsible for building custom built furniture (staircase, storage solutions, cabinets, etc.) and also called upon to detect and repair deficiencies with the custom built furniture before the mobile tiny homes are shipped to our customers.


    Main Duties / Responsibilities:

    • Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form wood
    • Trim joints and fit parts together using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails or screws
    • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products
    • Repair or restyle wooden furniture or fixtures
    • Mark outlines or dimensions on wood
    • Prepare and interpret drawings or blueprints, prepare work estimates
    • Able to problem solve and work with a team
    • Perform additional duties and assignments as required

     Required Experience and Qualifications:

    • Must have completed High School
    • Must have a diploma in furniture/cabinet making
    • Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
    • Must be responsible, reliable, respectful and punctuate
    • Familiarity with modular housing
