    Job Duties:

    • Manage and store electronic health records of psychology practice.
    • Database support
    • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment,
    • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software,
    • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks,
    • Load computer tapes and disks and install software and printer paper and forms, Provide problem-solving services to network users,
    • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures,
    • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records,
    • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations,
    • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software,
    • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet,
    • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance,
    • Modify Web pages, applets and scripts,
    • Support/maintain technical aspects of webcasting for teletherapy services
    • Maintain/update company website.
    • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations





    Completion of high school is required

    Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is preferred




    Hands-on experience as System Administrator

    System Admin experience in a clinical setting preferred 

    Strong technical & problem solving skills.

    Work well under deadlines & pressure

    Experience with programming in SQL and PHP is a plus

    Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement

    Salary: $ 33.65 to $ 35.00 Hourly, for 40 Hours per week. Monday to Friday 9.00am-6.00pm.

    Please note that Powell River is a very rural town and can only be accessed via 2 ferries. We are looking for a candidate willing to relocate to such a remote community.
