    Do you have experience in data management and presenting business and data analysis results that support business decisions? We’re looking for a business/data analyst to gather, compile, maintain, and analyze our IT asset related data to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and adheres to data quality standards. In this role, you’ll define asset management processes and procedures, and ensure that information is readily available to support business process improvement and to provide holistic reviews and reporting related to hardware and software asset management.


    What you’ll do

    As an IT asset management business/data analyst you will:

    • Lead areas in defining, maintaining, and reporting on IT asset related information through controlled information management processes
    • Conduct trend and risk analysis and present business and data analysis results to senior management
    • Define rules to evaluate data quality, resolve issues, and recommend process improvements to address gaps, compliance, and financial risks
    • Lead internal software licensing reviews through analysis of license agreements, business data, and related IT asset management data
    • Perform and document data audits to ensure data quality
    • Work with technical and non-technical groups to gather requirements to make appropriate data based business and system-based decisions

    We’re looking for someone who can:

    • Listen effectively and review and comprehend complex information to obtain requirements from clients
    • Code SQL
    • Prepare, present, and defend proposals, reports, and complex technical information in a clear and concise manner — communicating both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
    • Analyze information, anticipate and recognize problems and opportunities, identify trends, and seek continuous improvement to processes
    • Elicit business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business cases, workflow analysis, etc., and make appropriate recommendations in a proactive manner
    • Develop and maintain a SharePoint team site
    • Use knowledge of data mapping and extract, transform, and load data


    Your experience and educational background:

    • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study such as information technology or business management
    • A minimum of six years of experience in IT that includes a minimum of two years in data management (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
    • Working knowledge of relational database systems, concepts, structures, and business and technical models
    • Working knowledge of data warehouse architecture and concepts
    • General knowledge of IT asset management including hardware, software, and contracts
    • Use Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio proficiently
