    Curtiss-Wright's INDAL facility in Mississauga combines a high level of engineering and manufacturing capability with expertise in the management of large and complex defense programs to produce specific solutions for the world's navies. With over 50 years of experience, we lead in the design and development of ship-borne helicopter handling systems, undersea sensor handling systems and specialized on-deck structures.

    The Opportunity: Program Manager

     

    Responsible for the administrative management of all phases of large, complex programs including their organization, planning, direction, control and reporting of same, from order acceptance to contract closeout. Also responsible for acquiring additional program business.

    All successful applicants must be eligible to meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and/or a Canadian government security clearance. On February 1, 2017, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) implemented mandatory electronic fingerprinting as part of the security screening process. If you are hired by INDAL, we will assist you with the electronic fingerprinting process.

     

    Position Responsibilities

    • Leading a multi-disciplinary team for work performed on specific contracts and ensuring the various outputs are timely, complete and as per the terms and conditions.
    • Maintaining regular contact with customers and developing productive relationships while communicating on matters concerning program status, technical requirements, contract deliverables, and changes of scope
    • Creating technical and management reports, with the assistance of other departments, and submitting them to customers
    • Working closely with all departments to help achieve overall company objectives through teamwork and continuous improvement

    Essential Skills and Experience

    • As the company's primary contact with customers, exceptional written and oral communication abilities are critical. Excellent negotiating skills are frequently called upon as are the instincts necessary to keep customers satisfied while protecting the interests of the company
    • Excellent problem solving skills; able to identify issues and apply innovative thinking
    • Travel is necessary
    • At least five years' experience in the administration and management of government and/or commercial contracts or five years' of project engineering experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead team members from various disciplines.
    • Must be eligible for Security Clearance through Canadian Government

    Minimum Education Requirements

    • A university degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration, or an equivalent academic history. PMP designation would be considered an asset.
