    Wage: $15/ hourly for (40 hours per week)

    Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience

    Education: High School


    Work Condition: Mornings; Day; Evening; Weekends; Nights; Flexible hours: Shifts/ On-call

    Work Setting: Restaurant, Formal Dining room

    Food Preparation Specialization: Cold Kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches), vegetables, fruits, nuts, mushrooms, meats, seafood

    Type of Meals/ food prepared: All Meals, Lunch, and Dinner

    Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare and cook ethnic Indian dishes and foods in timely standards
    • Must be able to prepare different Indian curries like butter chicken, masala chicken, lentil, Soups and Indian Vegetables etc.
    • Must be familiar with the preparation of South Indian food including: Dosas, Idili, Sāmbhar etc.
    • Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions.
    • Estimate food requirements and costs. Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
    • Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.) clean kitchen and work areas.
    • Prepare special dishes for those who have allergies.

    Job Requirement

    • Completion of High School is required
    • Work Experience 2 to 3 years in Ethnic Indian Cuisine
    • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
    • Basic Computer skills and has critical thinking
    • Must be able to work well under pressure
    • Ability to work as a team player
    • Ability to plan and organize various job tasks

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to prepare/ present menu orders to Company Standards
    • Must have basic understanding of units of measure for following recipes
    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
    • Able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
