    Business information: Well-known and strongly established for over 47 years, Frameco Ltée manufactures 2,000 to 15,000 pound axletrees for trailers as well as stainless steel tanks for voltage transformers. Besides, we have a store dedicated to the distribution of trailer and automobile components. We are currently looking for polyvalent, dynamic and flexible personnel to occupy the positions of WELDERS.

    Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent

    Job Description:

    • Interpret welding process specifications
    • Operate manual or semiautomatic, fully automated welding equipment
    • Operate manual or semiautomatic flame-cutting equipment
    • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
    • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
    • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arcair), (AOC)
    • Determine weldability of materials
    • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
    • Operate previously setup welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
    • Operate previously setup brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
    • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
    • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
    • Computer-aided design (CAD)
    • Weld steel/stainless steel components for a tank assembly line for transformers

     

     

    Requirements:

    - Education: Completion of secondary school is required

    - Experience: from 7 to 11 months of experience in in the trade are required. We provide specialized training to employees.

    - Experience in plant or in the metal sector is an asset

    - Wanted abilities: Leadership; Independence; Sense of organization and responsibility; Ability to work in a team

     

    Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly, 39 Hours per week

    Important Information:

    Shifts: from 6:45am to 3:30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; from 6:45am to 4:00pm on Wednesday; from 6:45am to 12:00pm on Friday.
