    Celsky Vinyl Sundecks & Railings located at 296 Mariner Way, Coquitlam, B.C. V3K 1N4, is currently recruiting two Residential Vinyl Sundeck Floor Installers for full-time, permanent positions to start as soon as possible. This position requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weather permitting. The successful candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English. Salary is $24/hour, paid weekly. The successful candidate will have good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail, experience installing waterproofing membranes that requires cutting, laying and use of hot air welder for PVC membranes and other waterproofing materials. Preference will be given to those that also have experience cutting and installing T&G plywood, repairing joists and fascia mitering.


    Job description:


    • Sand all joints and seams. Plane exterior perimeter of deck edge to flush mount PVC barrier coat flashings.
    • Router plywood at all seams to 60 mils thickness to accept vinyl flush mount.
    • Using floor leveler, fill all joints, seams and plywood sheathing deficiencies.
    • Cut and install PVC (barrier coat), coated flashings and install flush mount at exterior perimeter.
    • Inspect, measure and mark sundeck surfaces for application of waterproofing materials.
    • Measure, cut and install PVC membranes, using hot air welder.
    • Seam, cut and shape flashing materials.
    • Install T&G plywood and repair joist and fascia mitering.
    • Inspect and repair damaged sundeck surface.
    • Ensure attention to detail during every step of the process.
    • Operate power tools and hand tools.
    • Ensure health and safety guidelines are strictly followed.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.


    Education and Training Required:


    • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience of waterproofing membrane installation combined with 2 years of framing carpentry installation, repair and cutting.
    • Must have experience using woodworking and framing power tools and hand tools.
    • Must have experience cutting and shaping flashing materials.
    • Must be physically fit and able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
    • Must be willing and able to kneel for 4-6 hours during a shift.
    • Must be willing and able to frequently bend, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time.
    • Must be willing to work in all outdoor weather conditions year-round.
